RHI Inquiry - documents reveal how another relative of former DUP SPAD Andrew Crawford applied for RHI boilers just before the most lucrative payments ended - @SJAMcBride on the latest revelations
RHI documents have revealed that another cousin of Andrew Crawford, Arlene Foster's former ministerial adviser, applied for three RHI boilers just before cost controls were implemented. It has already been revealed that Mr Crawford passed a confidential ministerial submission which warned that cost controls were imminent to several relatives. In April it was revealed that his cousin, Richard Crawford, who has six RHI boilers, was sent the confidential information. Although Richard Crawford says it played no part in his decision to apply. Dr Crawford sent the same submission to another relative, Wallace Gregg, who did not install any boilers. When that was revealed publicly, Dr Crawford admitted to "inappropriate behaviour". Now, it has been revealed that a third relative, John Crawford of Augher, applied for three boilers two days before the subsidy was cut. Stephen spoke to the Newsletter's political editor Sam McBride.
