After starting their careers on the Division II level, Phillip Henry, Jay Sonnhalter and Brandon Simmons transferred to ECU and were contributors on teams that laid the foundation for the program's consecutive CUSA titles. Simmons was a part of that 2008 team that captured the title with its victory at Tulsa.
