DUP leader Arlene Foster has questioned the idea of new talks to restore stormont made by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

Mr Varadkar said the British and Irish governments hope to hold talks with the Northern Ireland parties in the autumn aimed at restoring devolution. He said the absence of any clarity around Brexit makes it difficult but thinks there is an opportunity before the end of the year to get the assembly and executive up and running.

However, this morning on good morning ulster arlene foster said she was unaware of proposals for talks in the autumn saying "these are just comments from the Irish Government".

And she went further saying an Irish language act was still definitely not an option for Northern Ireland.
