Have you ever considered going to see an opera but felt a bit intimidated or wondered if it would be worth it if you can't see well or at all?

Opera North, an English Opera Company based in Leeds, has just launched an exciting new project that will allow you to experience an opera at home and perhaps find out for yourself if it is something you like.

Fully accessible, the videos show a recording of Leonard Bernstein's 'Trouble in Tahiti' and come in different formats including: audio description, subtitles and sign language.

Alice Gilmour from Opera North chats to us about the company’s drive to ensure all their performances are made accessible and explains why it’s worth coming by to see a show.

Alice is chatting to RNIB Connect Radio's Simon Pauley.
