Sight Unseen - Milena Canning's Story
What would you do if you were told you're blind, yet you could still 'see' shapes and colour?
Milena Canning from Scotland found herself in such a situation 30 years ago when she suffered a near-fatal stroke that left her blind, or so she was told.
Milena developed a unique neuroliogical condition referred to as 'sight unseen' or 'blindsight'. Through it, she experiences a sort of sixth sense that allows her to 'see' some colours, and outlines of objects.
Milena spoke to RNIB Connect Radio's Simon Pauley to tells us what has changed since we last caught up with her.
