Civil Society Optimistic that Khartoum Talks will push Peace process forward

Civil Society is optimistic that face-to-face talks between President Salva Kiir and SPLM-IO leader Riek Machar will push the peace process forward. 

Edmund Yakani, Executive Director of the Community Empowerment for Progress Organisation says the talks are a positive step and cautions that the parties should stick to the outstanding issues and not get bogged down by interests of the IGAD regional countries.
