The Birmingham Brummies injured captain Mitchell Davey returned to Perry Barr on Wednesday night for the first time since the dreadful crash on 9 May that left him with multiple injuries.

He spent two weeks in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham before returning to his home in Glasgow to begin a long recovery.  His injuries included a punctured lung, several chipped vertebrae, a broken shoulder blade and 12 broken ribs.

He told BBC WM's Mike Taylor about his progress and his gratitude to all in the speedway community for their support.
