Parties reach agreements on security issues, says Peter Mayen

Parties to the 2015 peace agreement concluded intensive interlink consultations in Addis-Ababa yesterday, ahead of a planned meeting between President Salva Kiir and SPLM-IO Chairperson Riek Machar. 

Peter Mayen, leader of the People’s Liberal party and member of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance says delegates have remained in Addis Ababa for the scheduled meeting. 

Speaking from Addis, Mayen said the IGAD chairperson communicated to the teams that the meeting between the two Principals would go ahead.
