‘Incremental gains’ made over two days of discussions in Addis Ababa, Says Kenyan Official
An official from Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and member of the IGAD Council of Ministers says ‘incremental gains’ have been made over the two days of discussions in Addis Ababa and is hopeful the existing gaps will be closed.
Ababu Terrah Namwamba, the Chief Administrative Secretary in Kenya’s Foreign Affairs Ministry in an exclusive interview with Radio Miraya, does not elaborate on the specific progress but says the attitude and mood at the talks is ‘good.’
Mr. Namwamba also commented on calls by the Enough project to seize an investigate properties of South Sudanese officials in Kenya suspected to have links to illicit financial dealings.
The U.S. research group two years ago identified specific properties in Nairobi and Kenya and las week called on the Nairobi and Kampala governments to act on the report.
Mr. Namwamba said his government has not received formal communication and will only respond when communicated through the right channels.
He spoke to Patricia Okoed in this interview.
