Blind First Aider
Have you ever wanted to do something so bad, but found that everyone told you it can’t be done?
Claire Potter, young students in Health and Social Care, found herself in that exact situation.
Determined to become a certified first aider, Claire was met with a lack of understanding and repeatedly told that being blind would stand in the way of achieving her goal.
However, not one to give up, Claire proved everyone wrong and did the exact thing she was told wouldn’t be possible.
Chatting to RNIB Connect Radio’s Simon Pauley, this strong-willed student tells us why you should trust your own instincts more than other people’s prejudices.
