A Belfast City councillor has been reported to the Local Government Commissioner for Standards over a tweet that has been described as "racist, sectarian and offensive". Independent councillor Jolene Bunting posted the tweet on Thursday afternoon It depicted two frogs, one wearing a union jack and the other wearing an Irish tricolour. The frog in the Irish flag is crying, holding a pint of Guinness and wearing a hat that reads: "Please be patient I have famine". Accompanying the picture is the line: "C'mon Paddy, EU can leave too". Jolene Bunting later said she didn't realise famine was mentioned in the cartoon. We did try to contact her this morning but without success. It does raise the issue however, if there is a myth among some loyalists that the Irish famine didn't affect the north? What is the reality? Vinny has been talking to historian Éamon Phoenix.
