Listen: Highways England project director Tim Jones says the new Lower Thames Crossing will ease congestion at Dartford - 12/04/2018
It's exactly a year since we found out where a new 13 mile route linking Kent and Essex is going to be built - and green campaigners say they're resigned to it happening.
Up to £6.2 billion pounds is going to be spent on the road linking the A2 east of Gravesend to Tilbury with a 2 mile long tunnel under the Thames.
It's being done to ease congestion at the current Dartford crossing although it won't open until 2027.
