The row over naming a Newry playpark after IRA man Raymond McCreesh continues - UUP's David Taylor and commentator Jude Collins clash
A motion calling for a council to change the name of a County Down playpark currently named after an IRA man - has failed. Unionists on Newry, Mourne and Down District Council put the motion forward on Monday night to remove Raymond McCreesh's name from a park in Newry. But the council voted through a Sinn Fein amendment instead. Ulster Unionist Councillor David Taylor said 'this latest snub is a further blow to innocent victims of Republican violence'.
