From today the sugar tax comes in to force on some fizzy drinks. Depending on how much sugar is added to the drink, there'll be a levy of up to twenty four pence a litre.

This is the equivalent of 6p on a standard can of Fanta or Sprite, or 8p on a can of Coca-Cola, Pepsi, or Irn Bru.

A number of drink manufacturers have already changed their products to avoid the tax - including drinks like Ribena, Lucozade and Fanta. Some customers have hit out saying their favourite drinks no longer taste as good.

Health campaigners say the introduction of a tax is an important step in the fight against obesity.
