The World Blind Union (WBU) is a group of global sight loss charities and associated organisations, who work together to highlight the needs of blind and partially sighted people, on a global platform.

They lobby for change from the UN, down through regional governments and the private sector to make sure that the rights of persons with sight loss are kept at the forefront of change.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Fredrick Schroeder, WBU President, to learn more about the work of the organisation and some of their current projects.
