Mid Ulster Council have voted to bring in bonfire licences. Could they be brought in across Northern Ireland? #BBCNolan
A row has erupted over a licensing scheme for bonfires in Mid Ulster.
Last night the council there voted through a new policy which means bonfire builders will have to get a permit to build a bonfire on council land.
Organisers will have to ensure that "no hazardous or toxic materials are collected, stored or burned" and that no flags, emblems or effigies are burnt on the bonfire.
The move - backed by Sinn Fein and the SDLP - brought a furious reaction from unionists.
