The cost of the BBC licence fee is going up - does it still represent value for money and can a rise be justified?

It has been announced that the TV Licence is set to increase. From April 1st the annual fee will rise from £147 to £150.50. Last year the government announced that the licence fee would rise in line with inflation for the next five years. It comes as the BBC are in the headlines again over pay - presenter Steph McGovern claims she is paid less than posher BBC colleagues due to her working class background. So in age of Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as broadcasters such as Sky does the licence fee still represent value for money and can a rise be justified? Stephen spoke with commentators Tim Hedgley and Finola Meredith and began by asking Tim if he thought people would still see the TV Licence fee as good value for money.
