But were they just about to renege on their promise - and sign up to the leaked draft deal document? Where was the Sinn Fein pledge on gay marriage provided for within that draft? The Secretary of State Karen Bradley says the government regards same sex marriage as a devolved matter which should be dealt with by the Stormont Assembly. Gavin Boyd from the Rainbow Project reacts.
