Thousands of gaming fans across the county are heading to Margate this weekend to take park in competitions celebrating everything from the tech world. Geek Festival has been running for six years in the town - previously at the Winter Gardens before it moved to Dreamland - and this year has a space theme to celebrate 40 years of the game Space Invaders. It encourages people to take part in tournaments, try virtual reality and even has a Jedi fight academy for Star Wars fans. Rebecca Ellis is the theme park's senior creative producer - the event welcomed 5000 people to the town last year.
