The White Helmets - Constant Target of Assad & Russia in Idlib and East Ghouta

Syria Civil Defence - the White Helmets are being increasingly targeted by the Assad regime and Russia in Idlib and East Ghouta. Bassem Fadhali one of the latest killed while working to rescue a family died in yet another infamous double tap attack by the Assad regime and Russia. The notorious double tap attacks involved fighter aircraft returning immediately after an initial raid to bomb survivors and the rescuers or first responders trying to save them.

In Dublin's Merrion Square the Irish Syria Solidarity Movement planted an oak tree to celebrate the White Helmets winning the latest International Tipperary Peace Prize.  However, the continuing slaughter of civilians and the White Helmets in Idlib and East Ghouta was very much the main focus of the occasion.

The group remembered Nedal Izdden the White Helmet who originally accepted the tree when collecting the Peace Prize on behalf of the Syria Civil Defence.  However, the primary focus was very much the importance of action needed to protect the White Helmets risking their lives everyday to save others as well as to very urgently raise awareness of the relentless civilian slaughter in Idlib and East Ghouta.
