Suspended England all-rounder Ben Stokes plans to play first-class cricket in New Zealand, officials said on Tuesday, potentially paving the way for a dramatic Ashes call-up. Stokes is barred from international cricket as British police investigate his alleged involvement in a late-night brawl. But the suspension does not apply to domestic cricket, meaning Stokes could turn out for Canterbury.

Sanal K Sasidharan’s film S Durga has been stopped from further screening by the censor board saying the hashtags used in his altered title gave “a different implication.” A letter from the regional censor board office in Thiruvananthapuram told the producers of the film that the date and time of re-censorship will be informed to him later. The letter said the complaint came from the jury at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which was forced to watch the film again on the orders of the Kerala High Court after it was dropped by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
TECH The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on Tuesday came out with its recommendations on net neutrality with non-discrimination by internet providers being the mainstay. TRAI recommended that the internet service providers cannot be discriminatory in providing internet access as it is an open platform based on the Constitutional right of equality.
