"If this ends with a no deal we won't be putting up the border, they'll have to pay for it because it doesn't need to happen" - the words of Labour MP Kate Hoey talking on BBC Radio 4 - about the Republic of Ireland.
Does she have a point? Should they stump up the cash, or given that it is Northern Ireland that is leaving the EU - should we, or Westminster open our cheque books?
