Pimp My Street
Due to the city’s campaign to clean up and refurbish the Ilot Sacré neighborhood and eliminate the many tourist trap restaurants to make it a neighbourhood locals will frequent again as well as tourists, there are temporarily a few empty stores on the Petite Rue des Bouchers. So, for the Christmas season until 7 January, the city has spiffed up the storefronts and is proposing Pimp My Street: pop-up stores by Belgian designers, creators and artisans of watch design, jewellery, clothes, objects/accessories, chocolate, woodworking, contemporary art, furniture, graphic and craft design, photography and interior design. We speak with organiser Kunty Moureau and artisans Laurent Gerbaud, Dominique Gringoire, Siré Kaba, Margaux Baert and Jean-François Bodson. www.pimpmysreet.be
