The Washoe County D.A. Chris Hicks is taking a hard line against those who abuse the elderly. For two men that means long prison terms. 49 year old Michael Lee Mullions was sentenced to 50 years, for beating and choking his 69 year old roommate. In a separate case 33 year old Dutch Cooper was sentenced to 29 years for grand larceny, robbery and burglary. He was a suspect on purse thefts at a casino that targeted older women. Hicks says he hopes sentences like this deter these kinds of crimes.....
