24 hours to save Stormont – another deadline slips @JBrokenshire.

Another deadline slipped last night as the talks to save devolution were given a stay of execution of 24 hours. The DUP and Sinn Féin left Stormont last night without reaching an agreement. But the Secretary of State James Brokenshire extended the deadline for our two main parties to reach a deal to restore power-sharing. However the DUP and Sinn Fein have made "further progress" in the negotiations. That's according to the secretary of state. Mr Brokenshire said they are making "certain additional requests" of the government which need to be considered.
