The Supreme Court in London is to begin hearing an appeal which argues that abortion law in Northern Ireland is incompatible with international human rights. The case brought by the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission will consider whether the law breaches women's rights by not allowing abortions in cases of sexual crime and fatal foetal abnormalities. Meanwhile yesterday it was announced that a government offer to help Northern Ireland women access free abortions in England is being extended to cover travel costs in some "hardship" cases. Stephen was joined by Grainne Teggart from Amnesty International and Bernie Smyth from Precious Life.
