On this edition of Thursday Night Tailgate our guests are: Former Lions & Cowboys Pro Bowl Kicker Eddie Murray, former Browns Pro Bowl TE Gary Barnidge, Singer/Song Writer Kevin Chalfant, and former Vikings RB Darrin Nelson. Plus former Patriots Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins joins us to go through our 5 Star Picks of the Week for Week 7 in the NFL.
Eddie Murray - Eddie talked about how a kid working in a lumber yard in Vancouver got a scholarship to kick at Tulane. He shared his unique draft day experience being drafted in the first round by the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL and in the 7th round by the Detroit Lions. Eddie said that even though Hamilton drafted him in the first round, he never heard from them after that. He also talked about all the years he played on Thanksgiving day plus his Super Bowl win with the Cowboys.
Tony Collins - Tony joined us to go through our 5 Star Picks of the Week for Week 7 in the NFL.
Gary Barnidge - Gary explained he's still a free agent because teams are only offering him the League minimum and it's not worth it to him to play for that. We also talked about his thoughts on the Browns organization and his time playing for Bobby Petrino at the University of Louisville.
Kevin Chalfant - Kevin was the Lead Singer for groups like 707 and The Storm back in the 90s. He also toured as the lead singer for the Alan Parsons Project for a while as well. Kevin talked about his relationship with former Journey Manager Herbie Herbert and how he met former Journey and Santana keyboardist Greg Rollie sitting with Herbie in the owner's box at San Francisco 49ers games back in the 1980s.
Darrin Nelson - Darrin shared his insights on his alma mater Stanford, his former Vikings team plus his big game against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving in 1987.
