20th October 2017 - Manager special: FA Cup First Round Draw, Maidenhead United, FA Vase, AFC Darwen, Rushall Olympic
Our own management specialist Dave Anderson joins Tim Fuell as they speak to three very different but highly engaging managers plying their trade in non league. First up, in the wake of the First Round proper draw in the FA Cup, 1980 cup winner as a player and now manager of Maidenhead United, Alan Devonshire talks about his club's chances having been drawn away at 1987 cup winning club Coventry City. Elsewhere it is FA Vase First Round Proper this weekend and Mark Patterson explains why after his own intrepid career as player, manager and coach further up the pyramid he is loving the challenge of preparing his AFC Darwen side to face Marske United in the competition on Saturday. Finally, two weeks after being shown the door at Solihull Moors in the National League, one of non league's most talked about young managers, Liam McDonald is back in the game, taking the helm at Rushall Olympic and tells the team why it is the perfect next step for him.
