UNMISS Weekly Updates with Daniel Dickinson, Mission Spokesperson

The international community must show a “unity of purpose” by supporting a peace process capable of implementation in South Sudan in the face of a “narrow” space for compromise, according to the Special Representative of the Secretary General, David Sharer.

He said this while briefing the UN Security Council this week about the political situation in the country.

David Shearer who is also head of the UN mission in South Sudan urged the international community to show that “unity of purpose to support an implementable peace process.”
