On this episode of Thursday Night Tailgate we're joined by: former Raiders, Steelers & the man who made the game saving tackle for the Rams in Super Bowl 35, LB Mike Jones; former Patriots Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins; former Bucs, Cardinal, & Chargers DT Reuben Davis; and former Jets & Chiefs Tackle Jeff Criswell.
Mike Jones - Mike talked about what it's like being remember for only 1 play even though he played 12 years in the NFL.He also talked about what it was like being in LA playing for the Raiders in the early to mid 90's during the time of social unrest, rap exploding onto the scene and the OJ trial. He also took us through the Rams 1999 Super Bowl season, and how the culture of the team is different in Pittsburgh.
Tony Collins - Tony talked about the last few days of the preseason and fearing the dreaded knock on the door from the Turk saying coach wants to see you and bring your play book.
Reuben Davis - Reuben talked about his time playing at the University of North Carolina and meeting Lawrence Taylor when he came back to address the team. He also talked about his pick 6 against the Bears in Week 11 in 1989, what it was like going up against form Bucs Center Randy Grimes every day and the 1994 AFC Championship against Pittsburgh when he was a member of the Chargers.
Jeff Criswell - Jeff talked about he got his start in the league as a replacement player during the 1987 player's strike. He also talked about being a part of the Jets and the New York social scene in the late 80's, and playing against one of the all-time great defenses, the 1982 Saints.
