Children Speak Up: Literacy - a "weapon" every child in South Sudan must have

South Sudan still has the highest rate of illiteracy in the world, according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO.

The high literacy levels imply that the country has an entire generation that has limited or no skills in reading and writing.

Today, ahead of the International Literacy Day, the children of South Sudan - A new generation yearn to turn this page and begin a new chapter, championing the cause for literacy.

The Pupils of African Inland Church Primary school in Gudele sat down with Engole Morrison for a chat on Literacy.
