UK Special envoy urges clarity on various peace initiatives

The UK Special Representative for Sudan and South Sudan says there needs to be a full understanding of the peace process for any meaningful peace to take shape.

Ambassador Chris Trott is urging clarity on how the various initiatives including the national dialogue, an IGAD revitalization forum and SPLM party reunification efforts fit into the peace agreement.

Speaking on the Miraya Breakfast Show, M. Trott said he conveyed a similar message in a meeting with President Salva Kiri on Wednesday. He says the planned revitalization forum should not be held prematurely.
