Sparks Police are advising people to stay out of the area of the Northern Nevada Medical Center at the east end of Prater Way because of a brush fire. Sparks Fire officials say the fire has burned 15 acres and continues spreading rapidly. Police are calling for voluntary evacuations in the area of Pleasant View Drive near the hospital. Police say Ambulances are being diverted from the Medical Center to other hospitals.
