A study by 24/7 Wall Street says Full-time work is not easy to find in Nevada. Only New Mexico and Alaska are harder to find work than the Silver State. Nevada's near 12 percent underemployment rate is nearly 2.5 percentage points higher than the national average. The underemployment rate is a combination of workers who are highly skilled but working in low-paying or low-skill jobs, along with part-time workers who would prefer to be working full time. Since the Great Recession, companies have continued to hire, but for minimal hours and do not offer benefits.
