New York protest reimagined by Isadora Martins.

"I had one prior experience working with sound recordings from protests, with sounds I recorded myself in my city, so the workflow in both these processes were similar. The main difference was that this time, I wasn’t present at the time of the recording. So I started by hearing the entire sound, trying to understand what was going on at the location at the time, and trying to put myself there. After, I cut the audio and reorganized it, processing the small pieces with different effects. I tried to bring something of my own perceptions of this recording to the final sound, trying to feel as if I was there, but also considering that I was only hearing, not seeing the protest, and that I am miles and miles away from the place where this was recorded."
