Against emergency laws, Romania

"This audio was recorded during the recent Romanian protests (1st of February 2017), in Făgăraș, population 28,330. The protests were caused by new ‘emergency’ laws that the government tried to pass overnight, supposedly to relieve the prison system of overcrowding: the solution being to decriminalise corruption involving sums of less than 200,000 lei (£38,000).

This particular protest took the form of a march around town, taking us past the PSD office, at which point you can hear copious booing."
