Politics 404
NYC protest reimagined by Manuel Guerrero.
"“Politics 404” refers to the famous internet’s Error 404, thinking about the political protests as the moments when we realize that something it’s wrong with the way that the goverment is working. People on streets reveals the error, but a possible solution too.
So, taking this idea i decided to make a narrative-reimagined sound where, as long as the protest march forward, the context begins to be “incomprehensible”: full of sonic glitches at the middle, the tracks confronts whom listen with the mistakes, painting a harsh soundscape. At the end, the audio restores his “logic” just with the voice of the people.
For the technical solutions, for the first time, I chose a software to “destroy” the original track: SoundGrain, a graphical interface, allows the user to control granular sound synthesis, producing some glitched textures. For the audio editing of some parts i used, as usual, Garageband."
