An Amber Alert remains in effect in connection with a car jacking yesterday afternoon in Sparks. Sparks PD initially reported that a 75 year-old woman was carjacked around 2:00 by a man who had an 8 year old girl with him. The woman had just parked her car, when the man walked up and demanded money and her keys. Sparks Police Lieutenant Greta Woyciewhowsky (Woy-chow-ski) says the victim told police the child initially refused to get into the car with the suspect. The carjacker is described as being black, 28 to 35 years old old, six feet tall, with a thin build and thin mustache. The child is described as black, wearing pig tails and a dark yellow dress. The car is a maroon Nissan Altima with the license plate 9-2-F-4-2-4.
