One of the closest finishes in Tour de France history meant that the winner could not be determined by the naked eye or even the finish line photograph. Instead, the jury had to look at enhanced pictures to give the victory to Marcel Kittel, by a margin of just six milimetres over Edvald Boasson Hagen.
