The state Department of Taxation is appealing a ruling by a Carson City judge, that gave exclusive marijuana distribution rights to Nevada liquor distributors. Meanwhile some dispensaries are selling stockpiled product and facing shortages if distribution issues aren't sorted out. The liquor distributors, who sued to try to delay the July 1st start of non medical sales, are reportedly trying to catch up and take on their role as the middleman between growers and retailers. The Supreme Court says they will handle the case on an expedited timeline.
