Truckee Police arrested two California men yesterday (Saturday) in connection with a burglary at the Enjoyabowl Smoke Shop in Truckee. Police say 22-year-old Tad Benjamin Crane of Truckee and 22-year-old Luke Jacob Smith of Soda Springs broke into the shop on two separate occasions last week. Officers responded to a burglary alarm at Enjoyabowl shortly before 4:00 Saturday morning. They determined someone had broken into the store and several items were missing. Police found some of the stolen items hidden in a culvert across the street and saw Smith and Crane hiding in nearby brush. They reportedly ran off, but were arrested following a brief chase. Investigators later found items that had been stolen from the shop last Sunday. The two have been booked into the Nevada County Jail on charges of commercial burglary, conspiracy and resisting officers.
