Mike and Jules Peters talk to Giles Brown about their TV documentary, 'Mike and Jules: While We Have Time'

Mike Peters (of hugely successful rock band The Alarm) and his wife Jules join us on the show today . Both are cancer sufferers, yet have faced their challenges with such positivity and grace that they are an inspiration to behold. They are also two of the busiest people on the planet. In this year alone, along with their health issues and raising their two young sons, they are touring the UK and the USA, releasing two brand new albums, promoting a full length feature film of Mike’s story ‘The Man In The Camo Jacket’, and partaking in numerous walks and events for the cancer charity they started ‘Love, Hope, Strength’. Their outlook on life is summed up by Jules’ own actions when she was first diagnosed with the disease. The nurses told her she should go home, rest and take things easy. Jules said that would make her feel she was ill before the treatment had even started and so kept herself as busy as ever, including power walking the 10 mile round trip to hospital every day of her aggressive treatment – often with her husband trotting along behind trying to keep up!
