Stand up for Peace and Keep Hope Alive, Kimmie Weeks tells South Sudan's Youths

[...] "I want to encourage the young people of South Sudan not to participate in violence, but also to stand up and come together. Let the adults know that it is the war of the adults and the children simply want peace and the basic human rights. We have seen that in Liberia, Sierra Leone, in Ivory Coast and we want to see that in South Sudan," - Kimmie Weeks, Executive Director of Youth Action International.

Ahead of the International Day of the African child, Radio Miraya speaks with Kimmie Weeks, Liberian Child Rights activist, who after witnessing war, human suffering as a child and surviving being buried alive, rose up from the ashes of conflict and is now working to make the world a better place for children.
