The League of Ovaltineys

The Ovaltineys was perfect 'brand integration', as today's commercial radio industry would term it. Its longevity is maybe a tribute to its efficacy.

The Ovaltineys Club was founded in 1935, with branded badges and books being despatched to its eager members. Radio Luxembourg broadcast the programme which bore its name. In the days when families gathered round their sets, they'd hear the familiar theme tune on a Sunday evening as the children prepared themselves for school the following morning.
