Lisa Kleinman - Part Actor, Part Development Executive

Lisa Kleinman, Senior Director of Development at NorthSouth Productions, who started as a actor, scored her first writing/producing gigs without much prior experience, and just figured it out as she went. Her familiarity with the New York comedy scene gave her a huge Rolodex of talent to consult as a development executive. Along with host Nathan Russell, she talks about the importance of pitching original ideas instead of derivative ones, and advises up-and-coming comedians to focus on making something excellent, rather than trying to “endgame” (like cashing in on a current network trend).
