South Sudanese Activist scoops Voice of Courage award
A South Sudanese youth activist has scooped the prestigious Voice of Courage award given each year to resilient, and resourceful individuals who have a personal and powerful story to tell about the challenges and triumphs experienced by the tens of millions of people who have been displaced by conflict and violence worldwide.
The US based women’s refugee commission, gave the award to 23 -year - old Malual Bol Kir Malual, in recognition of his organisations work with refugees and youth to work as agents of peace and positive change.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Miraya, Malual who is also the Executive Director of the African Youth Action Network, a non-governmental organization, said he would use the award to advocate for peace in South Sudan.
