"Withdraw from Pibor, Return abducted children" - Taban Deng Gai appeals to Dinka-Bor and Murle Youths

First Vice Taban Deng Gai is calling for immediate end to the fighting between Dinka Bor youth and the Murle.

The vice president visited Pibor on Thursday on his second leg of tour to the Greater Jonglei area, to resolve the ongoing fighting between the Dinka Bor and Murle Youth.

Taban Deng Gai called for immediate withdrawal of Dinka Bor youth from the Pibor territory.

He also appealed to the Murle youth to return abducted children and cattle looted, to clear the ground for dialogue.

The UN mission in South Sudan provided air assets to support the latest mediation efforts by the First Vice President.
