UK online spending dips, Fed seeks wiggle room - Tip TV
Data from the payment company Visa shows the UK online spending in April fell for the first time since 2013.
Independent Market Analyst Matt Brown says the rise in inflation is putting a squeeze on the budgets. Consumers spend more money on food items and thus spending on non-food items/online spending is feeling the pinch.
Brown believes the Fed could fasten the policy tightening process as it intends to create wiggle room for the next recession.
