A ban on food waste in black bins. Last night Belfast City Council approved a proposal that means that food waste can not be disposed of in your black bin. Under new regulations raw and cooked food waste must now go in brown bins and this will be monitored with a three strike rule which could lead to your bins not being collected. Councillor Jim Rodgers sits on the People and Communities Committee who approved the plans, he joined Stephen this morning along with commentator Heidi McAlpin and Michael Keenan from Unite the Union.
