MSPs have backed First Minister Nicola Sturgeon's calls for a second independence referendum.

It now kicks off the process for the Scottish Parliament to ask Westminster for the right to hold an 'indyref2'.

The UK Government has issued a statement in the last few minutes saying it will not be doing any negotiations and "now is not the time".
